Golden Rod Feeder Championship Qualifier No 12  Southfield Reservoir Saturday 4th January 2020

50 anglers booked on for this latest qualifier, conditions today were diffiecult with a bitterly cold breeze blowing into the east bank.

Winner on the day was Simon Fry  (Garbolino) who fished at distance with a ground bait feeder and maggot from peg 64.
Simon was rewarded with a skimmer catch weighing in 13lbs 8oz and a place in the March final.

Second overall was Justin Iveson who drew peg 42 landing three bream that weighed 9lbs 6oz for a comfortable zone win.
Justin fished the cage feeder with groundbait and maggot hook baits.

Third to the frame was Danny Wilson who drew peg 70.
Danny fished the cage feeder at distance to weigh in 8lbs 8oz of skimmers to maggot hook baits.

Fourth overall was Mark Price (MAP Stainforth) who drew peg 46 weighing in 7lbs 11oz all caught on the feeder at distance with groundbait and maggot hook baits.

Fifth to the frame was Mike Cayton from peg 68.
Mike fished the cage feeder at distance finding skimmers to ground bait and maggots that tipped the scales at 5lbs 12oz.

So all in all, just a few fish required to win a zone or section.
