Again a full turnout of 60 anglers faced horrific conditions at the popular Boddingtons Reservoir.
Heavy driving rain all day with a stiff breeze and highs of just 12C.
The heavy rain however, didn’t stop the resident carp from feeding and over 100lbs was needed to make the top 6.
Winner today and progressing to the March Final was Maver’s Andy Kinder who drew peg 96.
Fishing at around 60m with the method feeder and presenting waffter hook baits, Andy went on to win with an all carp catch that tipped the scales at 193-1-0.
Second overall was Nick Speed (Shimano / Dynamite) with a catch of 191-0-0.
Nicj caught at distance on the method and waffter hook baits to weigh an all carp catch from peg 69.
Third to the frame was Tony Johnson (Ringer Baits) from peg 101. Again an all out method attack was the successful method with waffter hook baits. Tony weighed 158-0-0.
Fourth overall was Graham Wall (Hayfield) who drew peg 92.
Fishing the method at 60m with waffters, Graham landed 155-0-0.
Fifth placed Phil Ringer (Ringer Baits) makes the March Final with 152-0-0 of carp from peg 66.
Phil fished the method feeder long again with assorted waffter hook baits.
