This sellout field of 60 anglers faced difficult conditions with heavy rain the week prior to this event and very heavy over night rain.
Furthermore, on the morning of the qualifier, temperatures were recorded at just 2C, rising to a maximum of no more than 5C with a stiff northerly breeze.
Needless to say, big bags of fish looked unlikely but true to form, Lindholme didn’t disappoint.

George fished a small feeder with punched bread hook bait to land carp and F1’s tipping the scales at 108-6-0 for a comfortable overall win and securing his place in the March Grand Final.
