The long road to the final concluded at Larford Lakes. The Match and Specimen Lakes hosted the sell out 60 peg qualifier.
Conditions were favourable with a stiff breeze, highs of 10C and sunny.
Winner today and progressing to the 19th & 20th March Grand Final was Polish rod Irek Wlazlo.
Irek drew peg 40 on the Match lake and fished a method feeder short and tight down his edges with waffter hook baits, weighing in 213-8-0 of carp and F1’s.
Second placed Adam Wakelin was again unlucky not to make the final.
Adam’s weight of 206-11-0 was from peg 23 on the Match Lake which was in the same zone as the overall winner.
Adam caught mainly short and down his edges with a hybrid feeder and waffter hook baits.
Third to the frame was Phil Canning who drew peg 23 on the Match Lake securing a zone win and a place in the final.

Fourth placed Phil Briscoe drew peg 1 on the Match Lake and fished the method feeder short with waffter hook baits weighing in 164-2-0 made up of an all carp catch with fish 15lbs.
Fifth in the Match was Alex Dragoi who drew peg 22 on the Match Lake.
Alex fished short and down his edges with the method feeder and waffters weighing in 151-8-0.
