Golden Rod Feeder Championship Qualifier No 13 Barston Lakes Saturday 11th January 2020

A full attendance of 60 anglers faced a bitterly cold day with heavy north winds blowing directly into the river bank pegs.
Presentation was difficult and conditions reduced the catches all round the complex.

Winner today was England international, Lee Kerry (Preston) who drew peg 71.
Lee fished a method feeder with waffter hook baits landing 33-0-0 of carp, F1’s and skimmers to progress to the March Grand Final.

Second overall was Jason Dunworth (Advanced Angling Solutions) who drew peg 56.
Jason was very unlucky yet again, not to make the final as he was in the same zone as the overall winner and beaten by just 4lbs.
Jason fished at 45m with a hybrid feeder and waffter hook baits weighing in 29-14-0.

Third on the day was Ian Wood (Larford) with 29-12-0 of carp and skimmers from peg 50.
Ian fished the method with waffters at 60m.

Fourth placed Rob Upex qualifies for his third Golden Rod Final on the bounce with 28-8-0 from peg 115.
Rob fished at 60m with method and waffters landing carp and skimmers.

Fifth placed Gaz Donaldson (Burts Baits) makes the March Final with 28-4-0 from peg 19.
Gaz fished the hybrid feeder at 60m with pellet hook baits landing carp, F1’s and skimmers.
