A full 60 peg sell out at Moorlands today with pegging covering Moors, Meadow, High Meadow and Bank Lakes.
Conditions on the day being a pleasant 16C with clear skies and sunshine.
Winner today and progressing to the Final was Mick Bull who drew peg 27 on the Meadows Lake.
Mick fished half way and short with the hybrid feeder and wafters, landing 123-4-0 of carp and F1’s.
Second overall was Ian Giddins with 113-8-0 from peg 13 on High Meadows.
Ian caught fishing tight across with the hybrid feeder and waffters landing a mixed bag of carp and F1’s also progressing to the March Grand Final.
Third placed Steve Brindley drew peg 50 on Meadow, weighing in 112 -8-0 of carp and F1’s all caught on the hybrid feeder, fishing tight across on waffter hook baits
Fourth to the frame was Simon Fry who drew Moors peg 18.
Simon fished tight to the opposite bank with the hybrid feeder and waffters, landing 112-0-0 and taking that all important qualification spot for the Grand Final.
Fifth placed Maxine Stroud put in a fine performance from peg 13 on Moors, weighing in 99-14-0 of carp and F1’s.
Maxine caught on the hybrid feeder, casting tight to the next platform on waffter hook baits.
