Golden Rod Feeder Championship Qualifier No11 Meadowlands Fishery, Saturday 6th January 2024

A full 60 peg attendance for this latest qualifier. Conditions on the day were a chilly 3C with highs of only 8C.

The winner today and straight through to the final was Charlie Simpson who drew peg 1 on Lambsdown.
Charlie made no mistake fishing a hybrid feeder and waffters on a number of different lines, weighing in 108-12-0 of carp and skimmers.

Second placed Jason Cawthorne drew peg 27 on Lambsdown and again so unlucky not to qualify with 102-12-0 made up of carp and bream, all caught on the hybrid feeder and waffters on various casting lines.

Thjrd to frame was Trevor Mold from peg 28 on Lambsdown with a level 102-0-0 of carp and skimmers all caught on the hybrid feeder and waffter hook baits.

Fourth placed Martyn Carpenter progresses to another Grand Final with 93-8-0 from peg 43 on Lambsdown.
Martyn fished a hybrid feeder and waffters landing some good carp and skimmers.

Fifth placed Jason White drew peg 4 on the Warren Lake winning the 20 peg zone with 90-10-0 and progressing to another Golden Rod Final.
Jason’s catch was made up of carp and skimmers.
