A full sixty anglers were booked on for this latest qualifier. Conditions on the day were grim with heavy overnight frosts over the previous three days and day of the qualifier.
Fishery staff had to break the ice on the Arena lake, but the burr of the Specimen and Match Lakes were ice free.
All that being said, temperatures remained at minus 2C for the five hour qualifier.
Winner in the day was Andy Power from peg 26 on the Match Burr with 119-9-0 of carp and F1’s.
Andy fished punched bread with a small open end feeder for a comfortable win and a place in the March Final.
Second placed Jamie Harrison drew peg 15 on the Match Lake Grass bank, weighing in 92-11-0 of carp and F1’s all caught on the method feeder and wafter hook baits fished half way across the lake.
Third to the frame was Rob Upex from peg 27 on the Match Lake.
Rob fished the method feeder and waffter hook baits landing a carp and F1 catch that tipped the scales at 70-7-0.
