A full sell out at the brilliant Hallcroft fishery.
Conditions today were difficult with a mix of heavy rain, highs of just 10C and a stiff breeze.
Winner today and progressing to the March 2022 final was Craig Tidswell with a winning weight of 63-4-0 from peg 43 on the Moat outer.
Craig fished a hybrid feeder with waffters, both long to the island and short weighing in quality carp.
Second overall was Tony Cassie who was very unlucky not to make the final weighing in 61-14-0 just over 1lbs short of the winner from peg 42 on the Moat Outer.
Tony fished the hybrid feeder long to the island weighing in an all carp catch of quality carp.
Third to the frame was Oliver Scotthorne from peg 22 on the Bridge Outer.
Oliver weighed in 61-7-0 of carp all caught on the hybrid feeder to clinch a coveted finalist placing. Oliver caught on various wafter hook baits.
Fourth placed Brett Clarke drew peg 23 on the Moat Outer weighing in 60-14-0 all caught on the hybrid feeder and wafter hook baits and rewarded with a finalist placing in the Grand Final.
Fifth in the frame was Keith Clifton from peg 30 on the Moat Outer with 59-14-0 all caught long to the island with method feeder and wafter hook baits.
To sum up a brilliant qualifier, weights were very close across the field with half the field needing a couple of additional carp to challenge for a finalist placing.
A very fair and close qualifier and a big credit to Hallcroft Fishery and all the staff.
