Golden Rod Feeder Championship Qualifier No5, Hallcroft Fishery Saturday 18th November 2023

A full 60 peg sell out again. Conditions were overcast with highs of around 10C.
The staff at Hallcroft have worked tirelessly for the last 3 weeks, repairing banks and landing stages following the devastating flooding, so this qualifier could go ahead.

The winner today and into the Grand Final was John Smith from peg 11 on the Moat outer.
John weighed in 90-5-0 of carp and caught on the hybrid feeder and waffter hook baits.

Second overall was Dave Burley from peg 49 on the Bridge outer.
Dave fished the hybrid feeder and waffters, landing carp and bream that scaled in at 87-10-0.
Dave also progresses to the March Grand Final.

Third to frame was Steve Hanrahan from peg 11 on the Moat.
Steve caught on the hybrid feeder and waffter, winning his 20 peg zone with 59-8-0 and a place in the March Final.

Joint 4^th was Jeff Edwards and John Wake. Jeff drew peg 108 on the Moat and John drawing peg 14 on Moat.
Both fished the hybrid feeders and waffter hook baits, weighing in 45-0-0.

Joint 5^th place went to Graham Lewis from peg 87 on the moat and Ryan Wilson from peg 40 on the Bridge.
Both anglers weighed in 42-2-0, all caught on the hybrid feeder with waffters.
