For today’s qualifier at Larford Lakes, conditions were bright, with highs of around 10C and mainly bright sunshine.
The winner today and through to the final was Rob Cooksey who drew Specimen Lake peg 40.
Making no mistakes, Rob fished short on the hybrid feeder and waffter, landing some big carp to 20lbs weighing in an amazing 171-15-0.
Rob caught carp, F1’s and bream.
Second, on the day was Antonio Barson from peg 5 on the Match Lake.
Antonio cast to the far bank with a hybrid feeder and waffter hook baits landing a fine bag of carp and F1’s weighing in 101-13-0 and winning his zone.
Third placed John Jones drew peg 1 on the Match Lake weighing in 92-2-0 of carp and F1’s all caught on the hybrid feeder and waffters.
Fourth to frame was Martin Carpenter from peg 6 on the Match Lake.
Martin caught on the hybrid feeder casting to the far bank with waffters weighing in 83-12-0.
Fifth overall was Sam Brown from peg 33 on the Specimen Chalet bank with 63-4-0 of carp and bream all caught on the hybrid feeder and waffters.
