A full 60 angler turnout for this latest qualifier fished on the Specimen, Match & Arena Lakes.
Temperatures on the day were highs of 13C, but the water readings registered at just 6C.
Levels were extremely high with all the Match lake stages under water and similar on the other lakes.
Winner today with a massive 228-3-0 was polish ace Przmek Solski from peg 20 on the Specimen Lake.
Przmek fished a faultless match, catching most of his carp short on the hybrid feeder and his own brand of waffter hook baits.
Przmek is a previous winner of the Golden Rod Championship and has qualified for every final to date.
Second placed Mark Storey also makes the final, weighing in 78-9-0 from peg 19 on the Match Burr.
Mark fished a hybrid feeder to the middle of the lake and short fishing waffter hook baits.
Third to frame was Paul Twigg from peg 15 on the Match grass bank.
Paul caught fishing a hybrid feeder cast to the island and later short with waffter hook baits, weighing in 73-13-0.
Fourth overall was Florin Ghiran form peg 15 on the Specimen Lakes with 67-1-0 of bream and carp all caught on the hybrid feeder and waffters.
Fifth place was Dave Roberts from Specimen Lake peg 5 with 65-12-0.
