Golden Rod Feeder Championship Qualifier No 22 (Final Round) Larford Lakes Sunday 8th March 2020.

A full 60 anglers were booked on to the last qualifier of the campaign.
Recent floods had caused problems enough for the Larford complex in particular to the Specimen Lake.
So on the day, the Match Lake hosted one zone of 20 and the Specimen Lake, two zones, one on the burr bank and one on the chalet bank.

Winner overall was local rod John Jones (Burt Baits) with a brilliant 159-0-0 of carp and F1’s.
John drew peg 10 on the Match Grass bank and fished the method feeder short with waffter hook baits landing carp to 10lbs.

Second on the day was Paul Cook (Frenzee) who’s already qualified.
Paul used his ticket as a practice for the coming final, weighing in 144-0-0 from peg 20 on the Match Lake.
Paul caught all his fish on the method feeder with corn and waffter hook baits.

Third in the frame was Ray Lamb (Larford) with a fine bag of carp and F1’s weighing in 91-2-0.
Ray fished the method feeder down his edges with corn and waffter hook baits from peg 12 on the Match Burr bank.

Fourth overall was Dave Berry from peg 14 on the Match burr with 78-2-0.
Dave fished short and down his edge with the method feeder and waffter hook baits landing some big carp and F1’s.

Fifth in the frame was Frankie Gienoncelli (Guru) with a level 76-0-0 of carp and F1’s from peg 13 on the Match burr bank.
Frankie caught on the hybrid feeder and waffters landing an all carp and F1 catch.
