Golden Rod Feeder Championship Qualifier No16 Barston Lakes Saturday 11th February 2023

A full 60 turnout, with conditions bright and highs of around 6C.

The lakes had been frozen all week, but cleared just in time for this latest qualifier.
It was always going to be a tough match due to the overall water temperature, but the venue still supported some impressive weights.

Winner today and once again in the March Grand Final was England International, Adam Wakelin.
Adam drew peg 124 and fished at distance with the hybrid feeder and ringer waffters, weighing in an impressive 98-8-0.

Second on the day was Phil Ringer from peg 27 on the River bank with 50-8-0.
Phil fished at extreme distance with the hybrid feeder and ringer waffters  to land an all carp catch.
Phil qualifies yet again for the Grand Final.

Third to frame was Steve Brindley from peg 61 on the River bank.
Steve also fished long with the hybrid feeder and waffter hook baits weighing in 41-4-0 and a coverted place in the Grand Final.

Fourth placed Richard Hurdman drew peg 61, landing 28-2-0 of carp and bream, all caught on a method feeder fished long.

Fifth overall was Pete Jupp from River bank peg 37 with 26-2-0.
