Golden Rod Qualifier No 20 Barston Lakes Saturday 22nd February 2020

A full 60 peg sell out for this latest qualifier conditions were not good with a very stiff wind blowing into the river bank pegs and highs of just 8C.

Winner today was Graham West (Browns Angling / Preston Sonu) with a level 32lbs.
Graham drew peg 124 and fished the method feeder casting 75m with waffter hook baits. Graham landed carp and F1’s to book his place in the March final.

Second overall was Ian White (Cathy Baits ) who drew peg 120.
Ian fished the hybrid feeder long with micro pellet and waffter landing carp and F1’s to weigh 28-8-0.

Third to the frame was David Wood (Mossella) with a level 28-0-0.

Dave fished the method feeder short at peg 57 with pellet and waffters to net 28-0-0 of carp, bream and F1’s booking his place in the final.

Fourth overall was Geoff Ringer (Ringer Baits) from peg 110. Geoff fished the hybrid feeder with pellet and waffters landing bream and a single carp boosting his weight to 27-8-0 which was enough to make the Grand Final.

Fifth placed Matt Snodin landed 25-8-0 from peg 48. Matt fished the hybrid feeder with waffters at 25m.
